Murdochville, Gateway to the Chic-Chocs
An extension of the Appalachian Mountains, the Chic-Chocs are considered the most majestic mountain ranges in the central part of the Gaspé Peninsula. They include over 25 mountains whose summits exceed 1000 meters. The highest peak, Mont Jacques Cartier, is located at 1270 meters.
